Cycle Prep: First Period for Girls Workshop
Cycle Prep — the nationally-acclaimed first period workshop developed by Pearl & Thistle and offered live through Small Things Fertility’s Heidi Schaap — is an engaging, age-appropriate workshop designed for parents and daughters to learn together what’s reallyhappening with her body as she approaches her first menstrual cycle. In this 90-minute interactive presentation, experience a walk through of female anatomy, the “Story of the Kingdom” hormone illustration, ovulation, cycle timing, period products, normal cycle variations, and how to build a supportive “Culture of Care,” giving both girls and their parents the science, language, tools, and confidence to talk about puberty with truth, dignity, and calm so the conversation continues well beyond the workshop. Girls will create and take home a custom period product kit, and workbook and discussion guide for further exploration. Parents will take home helpful guides on talking to your daughter’s doctor, resources for continuing the conversation, and more.
