CHastity

Chastity is the virtue and call of every person in every state of life.

What is Chastity?

“Chastity means the successful integration of sexuality within the person and thus the inner unity of man in his bodily and spiritual being” (CCC #2337)

Every person is created in the image and likeness of God. “God created mankind in His image . . . male and female He created them.” (Gen. 1:27)

This is CRUCIAL: We need to understand this to understand who we are.

Sexuality affects all aspects of the human person in the unity of his body and soul.” (CCC #2332)

Everyone, man and woman, should acknowledge and accept his or her sexual identity.” (CCC # 2333) God created us in love, male and female. He created us for love, in and through our masculinity or femininity.

True love – Authentic love between persons can only be made visible with our bodies.
