The Federation of North-American Explorers through its home association the UIGSE – Union Internationale des Guides et Scouts d’Europe – Fédération du Scoutisme Européen is formally recognized by the Holy See as a Catholic Lay Movement.
Explorers is a method of education of the child through a pedagogy developed by Father Jacques Sevin and Baden-Powell.

Catholic Scouting provides a Catholic foundation for Scouting programs by helping young people grow in the Catholic faith and make ethical and moral choices guided by the Scout Oath and Scout Law. Our goal is to provide opportunities for all Catholic children and youth to participate in Scouting programs integrated into the faith formation and youth ministry of parishes across the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.
