The Beacons of Light Evangelization Parameter #1 says “Every Family of Parishes will have an Evangelization Team, overseen by the pastor and led by competent and qualified staff.” Now that the Director of Evangelization has been identified, Phase 2 is the time to form the Evangelization Team for your Family of Parishes. These team members must be competent and qualified staff members who will report to the Director of Evangelization.

This webinar will be an orientation for the Evangelization Team and will address:

  • who should be on the team
  • what their job descriptions should be
  • how they should work together to implement a plan for evangelization and discipleship.

This is an interactive training to experience what it is like to run Alpha. 

Alpha is a space for people outside of the church to explore faith within the context of the local church. Gather with other churches and leaders from across the region for an interactive training to develop an understanding of Alpha and how to get the most out of running a course in your context. We will cover topics like ‘What is Alpha?’, the 7 best practices of Alpha, the Alpha small group, and leading prayer ministry.

Run Alpha Training hosted by the Archdiocese of Cincinnati Center for the New Evangelization and led by Dan McCarty, Network Director for Alpha Great Lakes.

Join us for an evening with drinks, dinner, fellowship, and awards to recognize the incredible work of our Catholic Evangelists in the Archdiocese!

Cocktail Hour begins at 5:00 p.m. with dinner and awards following from 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

The Banquet is free for our evangelists and guests are $45.00.

A retreat designed for parish evangelists to take a break and re-ignite their relationship with Jesus focused on human and theological formation. Two days & one night of rest, prayer, and community.

Cost: $50 for evangelists who work within the Archdiocese of Cincinnati; $100 for evangelists outside the Archdiocese of Cincinnati (invoiced to your parish)

Arrival – Monday, October 23rd at 9:30 a.m.

Departure – Tuesday, October 24th at 3:30pm

Light the Match is a two-day workshop for theological and pedagogical formation for parish evangelists. These two days will include breakout sessions for new evangelists, youth evangelists, adult evangelists, and pastoral associates. A light breakfast and lunch served each day. Optional dinner and overnight accommodations available.

Cost: $20/day or $30 for both days; $70 for overnight accommodations (invoiced to your parish)

Location: Dayton Metro Library Northwest Branch

Day 1: Tuesday, August 1; 10:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Day 2: Wednesday, August 2; 10:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
