Adult Evangelization
There are many forms and audiences for evangelization in a parish. But, the primary concern of parish catechetical leaders is adult evangelization and catechesis. As the Church teaches us:
“[T]he catechesis of adults … is the principal form of catechesis, because it is addressed to persons who have the greatest responsibilities and the capacity to live the Christian message in its fully developed form.” (John Paul II, Catechesi Tradendae, no. 43)
“In order that the parish may succeed in activating effectively the mission of evangelization … Adult catechesis must be given priority.” (General Directory for Catechesis, no. 258)
“[A]dult catechesis … is the axis around which revolves the catechesis of childhood and adolescence as well as that of old age.” (General Directory for Catechesis, no. 275)
Our team is here to help renew your outreach to adults. They are your first mission field, and if we serve them well, then they can be sent to the other mission fields (youth, young adults, men, women, families, the elderly, etc.) to proclaim the Gospel, radiate Christ, and renew your parish.

Bio: My role at the Center mainly focuses on those who evangelize to the youth. I offer opportunities for youth evangelists to share life and prayer on a regional and Archdiocesan level, while encouraging that sharing of life and prayer at the parish level with their teams and volunteers. I also organize ongoing formation in catechesis and best practices for the mission of leading youth into relationship with Jesus Christ and offer opportunities for the youth to share life and prayer. My favorite part of my job is going onsite for a parish training with a team and watching them work together, pray together, and get excited to serve the youth together. The creativity and excitement that’s generated from their time together is amazing!
A Little About Me: I was born in Connecticut, raised in Georgia and currently reside in Dayton, with my two cats and dog, all of which God brought to me through humorous events so perhaps one day I will join St. Francis as a Patron Saint of animals.
Favorite Saint: I probably pray most often to St. Therese of Lisieux (stalking me since 2014) and my confirmation saint, Elizabeth Ann Seton.
First quote I ever memorized: “For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for woe, to give you a future full of hope.” Jeremiah 29: 11

Bio: As a member of the Parish Support Team, my job is to accompany parish leaders and offer them formation and support so that they can grow in their identity as missionary disciples and be catalysts for renewal in their parishes. I also develop content for our blog and for the Catholic Telegraph, and give talks at retreats, conferences, workshops, and in-service days throughout the Archdiocese. What I love about my work is that I am encouraged to use the gifts God gave me, I get to have a real impact in people’s lives, and I get to work alongside people who value and support me.
A Little About Me: I’m from Owensboro, Kentucky (Go Cats!). I have a twin brother who is a parish priest in the Archdiocese of Louisville, KY. I met my wife, who’s from Maine, on a website for fans of Catholic Hip Hop. I like my food as spicy as you can possibly make it.
Favorite Saint: St. Michael the Archangel
Favorite Bible Verse: “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own people, that you may declare the wonderful deeds of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. Once you were no people but now you are God’s people; once you had not received mercy but now you have received mercy.” (1 Pet 2:9-10)
