Come learn more about Natural Family Planning with a virtual class taught by Registered Nurse/Certified Marquette Method Instructor, Jenna Bernardo. This free class will be a general NFP Course, not specific to The Marquette Method, though it would be a great start to learning The Marquette Method of NFP. Some of the topics covered during this 1-hour course includes:

  • Male and female reproductive anatomy and physiology
  • Types of Natural Family Planning methods
  • Postpartum and peri-menopause stages of life
  • Why NFP is good for you and your spouse (if applicable)

This class is great information for single women interested in charting for health, engaged couples preparing for marriage (continued education needed to count for Pre-Cana), married couples that never received the information or would like a refresher on the basics, or married couples discerning learning NFP for the first time and want a no risk introduction.  If this free introduction class is completed, a discounted Marquette class will be offered to complete education for Marquette Method.

Co-hosted by the Archdiocese of Cincinnati and the St. Gertrude NFP Team, this event is geared toward moms and their daughters (ages 10-13) to spend the morning together learning about God’s beautiful plan for the gift of fertility.

Starting with Holy Mass at 8:00 a.m., this workshop will include presentations on authentic femininity with teaching from the Theology of the Body, chastity, modesty, the biology of the reproductive system and the development of a baby in utero. Mothers will be provided tips on teaching their daughters about the conjugal act, a topic that will not be taught at this event. Featured speakers include Sr. Karolyn Nunes, FSGM, Geneva Ulmer of Pregnancy Center Plus, and certified NFP instructors who are parishioners at St. Gertrude’s.

The event will take place in the gym. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. with light refreshments, and presentations begin at 9:00 a.m. There will be a light lunch served at the end of the event.
