Purpose Retreat

We believe that the best way to raise up disciples and strong Catholic leaders is by answering the big questions of life while walking with a mentor.

Who is it for?

This retreat weekend can be a launching point for (or continuation of) a young person and their mentor.  It is for any high school youth (by invitation of their youth minister, pastor, or DRE) who has encountered Jesus Christ, is striving to live the Christian life, and desires to go deeper in their faith by being accompanied by a mentor in the Catholic faith.

What’s the role of the mentor – on the retreat, as well as before & after?

A mentor is someone older than the youth, (preferably at least 21), who is living in accordance with the Catholic Church, and desires to help accompany and invest in the (spiritual) life of the youth.  Whether mentoring is a part of what you are already offering the high school youth in your parish, or you want to begin offering it, particularly to upper classmen, Purpose can be a great starting point.  Additionally, if you already have youth being mentored, this is a great place for them and their mentor to grow deeper.

In addition to the Purpose Retreat weekend, the mentor will be required to attend up to 3 pre-retreat meetings between August – December, as well as a mandatory day-long retreat on Sat, January 28th from 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.(location TBD), during which time there will be prayer, fellowship, and final formation and preparation for the Purpose Retreat with the Youth in February.

The Purpose Retreat will be held on Friday, March 10 – Sunday, March 12, 2023 at the Maria Stein Spiritual Retreat Center.

Cost: $175/participant
