Parish Vitality

Parish Vitality

The Beacons of Light Evangelization Parameter #1 says “Every Family of Parishes will have an Evangelization Team, overseen by the pastor and led by competent and qualified staff.” Now that the Director of Evangelization has been identified, Phase 2 is the time to form the Evangelization Team for your Family of Parishes. These team members must be competent and qualified staff members who will report to the Director of Evangelization.

This webinar will be an orientation for the Evangelization Team and will address:

  • who should be on the team
  • what their job descriptions should be
  • how they should work together to implement a plan for evangelization and discipleship.

This workshop, presented by the Catherine of Siena Institute, will provide the opportunity for members of your Parish Family to discern your charisms (spiritual gifts) and begin to discern God’s call. You have received gifts in Baptism and Confirmation through which God intends His love to reach others. Come and discover these charisms in you!

You will need to complete Sessions 1 and 2 of the Called & Gifted workshop online before you come for the live workshop. In the process of completing Session 1, it will have you take the Spiritual Gifts Inventory. Once you register here, we will add you to our group of learners on the Institute’s online learning platform and we will email you instructions for completing the Sessions and the Inventory.

Parish Families are invited to join us at this workshop as we take a deep dive into our strengths. Discovering our talents helps us contribute positively as leaders. Our teams are stronger when we form complementary partnerships, building on the talents of members and engaging more people in ministry as a result.

The CliftonStrengths talent-identification tool has been used by thousands of Catholic parishes throughout North America to help staff and parishioners discover, develop, and become better stewards of their talents, not only in their parishes but in all aspects of their lives. The process strengthens the ways in which people thrive at home, in their parish, and in ministry and service in their local communities.

This workshop will be led by Leisa Anslinger, founder of Catholic Life and Faith, a center for evangelization, stewardship, and servant leadership development. Most recently, she served as the Archdiocese’s Associate Director for Pastoral Vitality. Leisa brings extensive experience in parishes and schools to her ministry as an author and speaker, and is a frequent presenter at national and diocesan CliftonStrengths workshops.

NOTE: Participants will receive a code to complete the CliftonStrengths online Tool and should complete the assessment and bring the results to the Workshop.
